A prototype management system for the messy parts of riad work: late arrivals, missing guest details, payment status, room changes, and Arabic RTL screens for local staff.
The problem
Many small riads run daily operations across notebooks, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, booking platforms, and memory. That can work for a while, but it becomes fragile when guests arrive late, payments change, or staff need quick answers.
What RiadOS does
RiadOS is a prototype hotel operations system for Moroccan riads. It focuses on the small moments that create stress: a late arrival, a payment status nobody can confirm, a room change, a guest record that only one person remembers. The interface includes Arabic right-to-left screens because local staff should not have to fight the tool while serving guests.
Why this matters
This project connects my two sides: hospitality work and software. I have worked front desk and night audit, so the product thinking starts from real guest questions, check-ins, late-night pressure, and the need for clear information fast.
The stack
- React - interface prototype
- Supabase / PostgreSQL - reservation and guest data model
- RTL UI - Arabic-first workflow screens
- Responsive design - usable across laptop and tablet sizes
Where it's at
Prototype stage. The useful part is the workflow thinking. It shows how a public riad website can later grow into an internal tool for bookings, guests, payments, and team operations.
